Bringing hope to Galeshewe

Since its inception, Mochochoko Funerals was well received by community members. Not only has its clientele increased but it also created jobs for 9 youth from the community who will be upskilled to run their own funeral parlours.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic led to many deaths, resulting in a high demand for funeral services. However many families were not in a financial position to provide their loved ones a dignified funeral. Mochochoko started providing affordable funerals plans and arrangements in light of the need that arose.

The Trust supported the development of the business with a grant of R150,000.

“The Support from the Letsatsi Borutho Trust was like a dream come true because I’ve been struggling to find my own office space since I started the business. To rent is expensive nowadays so the Trust ensured that I reach my dream of having my own office space and other equipment.”  Neo Daniel, Owner: Mochochoko Funerals.
