Anita Takor

Anita Takor holds an honours degree in Development studies which enhanced her love for community development. Anita is passionate about bringing positive change in people’s lives. She is responsible for the youth portfolio of the Sibona Ilanga Trust, Letsatsi Borutho Trust, and Amandla Omoya Trust. Anita joins the Trust carrying great experience in community dynamics with her four years of working experience in the Renewable energy sector based in the Northern Cape.

She was a Community Liaison Officer at Globeleq South Africa Management where she was responsible for implementing social and economic development programmes at the De Aar Solar Power operating in Britstown, De Aar, Philipstown and Hanover. Her roles included community and stakeholder engagement. Since the time she joined the Trust in 2023, the Trust has introduced her to a rigorous grant-making system and strategy which is a great learning curve. She appreciates the exposure and participation in the realisation of a grant-making programme which produces indicators leading to impact assessment.The youth development portfolio which covers support to students applying for bursaries, youth development programme and support to youth initiatives in the communities is a big portfolio that is fulfilling to see young people progressing to different levels.
