Pushin Progress Launch in Kimberley
The launch of the Pushin Progress youth life skills programme took place on 28 July 2022 in Kimberley where 73 participants attended.
Pushin Progress supports young people’s personal and professional development to transition into establishing their own livelihoods, employment, or educational opportunities to social and economic development in their communities through two interventions namely:
- Trailblazer Program: Inspires and supports Grade 8-11 high school youth to create and lead meaningful change in their communities. Participants receive training and support to design and run projects to address the social issues they feel passionate about. Through this experience, participants increase their grit, social responsibility, self-efficacy and social capital, while gaining practical experience in project management and leadership.
- Catalyst Program: Addresses the issue of young people who are not in employment, education or training.
