Enterprise Development Officer

Chulumanco Mdingi  is the first point of contact between communities and the Trust. He started working in the development sector as an intern at Sarah Baartman District Municipality (SBDM). He played an instrumental role in developing the IDP of the District. Also, he supported local municipalities by conducting desktop research and provided assistance during their IDP review processes. He went on to gain vast experience in both qualitative and quantitative research at the University of Stellenbosch – Desmond Tutu TB Centre, he was working as a graduate researcher in the area of TB and HIV/AIDS. Chulumanco was recently employed by the Eastern Cape Department of Social Development as a Community Development Practitioner, his duties included monitoring compliance of funded NPO’s, conducting capacity building workshops, and registering newly founded community organisations.He is passionate about the sustainable livelihoods framework (SLF), including the concept of resilient communities. He holds a masters degree in Development Studies.
